Every Girls’ Dream- an organised closet

Every Girls’ Dream- an organised closet

Galvanised to close it Eve

Shut down the grills, manacle the ankles

Cloister the organs in claustrophobic atrophy.

Shut up the trophy, cossetted to ossify,

Concreted, crocheted, clap trap rapture.

Man-eyed, maniacal departure,

Cache the drone, the ill crone done

To keep the trap shut, the flap closed.

The hatch catch shuttered.

You’re the closest, damn it, Adam, open it.

another odd assignment – which again I didn’t get but wrote ‘something anyway’ – but you produced another great poem – with lots of wonderful whimsy and some real zingers – cloister the organs is a gem.

My favourite is the final line – “You’re the closest, damn it, Adam, open it” It’s a brave woman who lets a man as inexperienced as Adam was anyway near her ‘hatch catch’ Nice!
